While we were interviewing with the director, she commented that his face sure had gotten red, so I unbuckled him from his snug infant seat to hold him. As I tried to reposition him on my lap, Evan happened to look over and when he said in a very serious voice, "oh my god," I knew it wasn't good. Sammy had pooed so much that it had leaked out of his diaper and left a big wet brown stain all over the back of his nice white sleeper. No worries, because mommy is prepared, right? NO! I'd even asked Ev if he thought we'd need the diaper bag and we decided we didn't since we were so close to home. Fortunately, they were very nice at the center and hooked us up with a diaper and wipes, so I proceeded to change him. As I was putting his pooey outfit back on, I must've had a very grossed out look on my face, b/c they pulled out a bag of donated baby clothes to save the day. And save the day, they did. Sammy got to change into a beautiful lavender sleeper adorned with roses, candles, fairy wands, stars, and hearts! Oh, and it was a size 18 months. The poor little guy. Mama won't be making that mistake again!

We quickly swooped Sam right into the bathtub when we got home. And here he is, lookin' much better. I'll post info soon on Sam's 1-month checkup, so stay tuned! For now, it's shut-eye time as the baby's zonked out. Not to jinx it!

I used to work at a daycare in college and if a baby had a milestone, we would not tell the mom. It only makes them feel bad for missing out. That way, when mom see the milestone it IS the first time (and then we acted surprised when mom told us about it the next day.)
Hope the place you take your son does that too.
