Even though our boys aren't quite old enough to come right out and say, "I'm not tired yet," it's clear that it's true. Sam will hand us book after book, and dump out his blocks when he knows we're about to sing our last song before bedtime. This picture book, I'm Not Tired Yet! by Marianne Richmond is a delightful read. Ralphie Mix, age six, does everything he can to keep his mom in his room so he doesn't have to go to sleep. His imagination runs wild as bugs crawl across the floor and and monsters hide in the closet. Many hugs and kisses later, Ralphie finally falls asleep. Super cute, and most important, Sam got a kick out of the story and enjoyed pointing at the colorful illustrations. Published by Sourcebooks Jabberwocky, available March 2012
